“Mayumi sensei has been very encouraging and patient with my progress. Even if I know the nouns and verbs, I am still having difficult time to fill in particles in between to connect them into proper sentences. My goal is to learn more about Japanese teas and ceramics, so I need to be able to communicate in Japanese at a higher level. Because of my limited Japanese, sensei has been helping me arrange meeting and stays with certain tea producers in Japanese. Unfortunately it is busy season and I cannot meet them at this time. My work affects taking a fix college schedule, so tutoring works best to arrange on days I am free. Mayumi sensei is very understanding and accommodating to rearrange the dates with me. With one on one tutoring, sensei can focus more on your weakness and figure out together how to improve.”
